About Me
Hi, I’m Victoria Evanchick, a tech theatre professional with experience primarily in stage management, stage operations, and carpentry. Currently finishing my B.A. in Theatre at SUNY Oswego, I’m passionate about growing my stage management skills while creating smooth, collaborative backstage environments. When I’m not working in theatre, you’ll find me crocheting, singing, playing amateur guitar, photographing my friends, playing Dungeons & Dragons, or diving into sci-fi novels.
Want to Know More?
My name is Victoria Evanchick, and I bring experience in stage management, stage operations, and carpentry to the world of tech theatre. My hands-on work building, running, and coordinating productions has given me a unique perspective on how all the moving pieces of a show fit together. While I’m skilled in carpentry and backstage operations, my passion lies in continuing to grow as a stage manager, honing my leadership, organization, and communication skills with every production.

I believe in an interdisciplinary approach to theatre, which has been a cornerstone of my studies and experience at SUNY Oswego, where I’m finishing my B.A. in Theatre. The best way to understand the complexities of all that goes into a performance is to work across the varying departments that make it possible. As a young theatre artist, I’ve taken every opportunity to gain experience both onstage and backstage, a journey that’s strengthened my problem-solving abilities, deepened my appreciation for collaboration, and made me a more empathetic leader.
I also value working with theatres that give back to their communities. Growing up, my area didn’t have strong opportunities for community-focused arts, so I know firsthand how meaningful it is when theatre reaches out, inspires, and creates access for everyone.
Whether I’m calling cues, managing rehearsals, assembling set pieces, or coordinating scene changes, I bring adaptability, calm under pressure, and a collaborative spirit. My goal is always the same: to create an environment where artists and crew alike can do their best work.
